Independent Business

Legacy Costumes is an independent costume design and fabrication business specializing in custom-made costumes, props, and accessories inspired by various films, television series, comics, video games, and other works of fiction.

Legacy Costumes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney, DC Comics, Warner Bros., Marvel, or any other intellectual property owner unless explicitly stated.

All trademarks, character names, logos, and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

Custom-Made Products

Most products sold by Legacy Costumes are handcrafted and made to order. Due to the custom nature of our work:

• Minor variations in color, texture, weathering, stitching, finish, or overall appearance may occur.

• Product photographs are representative examples and may not exactly match the final handcrafted item.

• Handmade products may contain slight cosmetic differences that do not affect functionality or quality.

Costume Accuracy

Legacy Costumes strives to produce costumes that are highly accurate to their source material using extensive research, reference materials, and industry-standard fabrication techniques.

While every effort is made to achieve screen-accurate results, absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as source materials, production references, and official designs may vary or change over time.

501st Legion Costume Disclaimer

Legacy Costumes designs many costumes with the intent of meeting current 501st Legion Costume Reference Library (CRL) standards whenever reasonably possible.

However:

• Legacy Costumes does not guarantee that any costume, armor, prop, helmet, or accessory will be approved by the 501st Legion.

• Final approval for membership is determined solely by the applicant's local Garrison, Garrison Membership Liaison (GML), and the current Costume Reference Library (CRL) requirements in effect at the time of submission.

• CRL standards and approval requirements may change without notice.

• Individual Garrisons and GMLs may interpret or enforce requirements differently.

• Legacy Costumes has no authority over the approval process and is not responsible for approval decisions made by the 501st Legion or any of its representatives.

Purchasing a costume from Legacy Costumes does not constitute or imply guaranteed acceptance into the 501st Legion.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate measurements when requested.

• Reviewing product descriptions before purchase.

• Confirming compatibility with any club, organization, or event requirements prior to ordering.

• Inspecting their order upon delivery and notifying Legacy Costumes promptly of any manufacturing defects or shipping issues.

Product Use

Our products are intended for cosplay, conventions, costuming, display, theatrical productions, photography, and recreational use.

Customers assume all responsibility for the safe use, modification, transportation, and maintenance of purchased items.

Legacy Costumes is not liable for injuries, accidents, damages, or losses resulting from the misuse, alteration, or improper handling of any product.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Legacy Costumes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, use, inability to use, or performance of any product sold through this website.

Our maximum liability for any claim relating to a purchase shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the applicable product.

Shipping Disclaimer

Responsibility for shipped packages transfers to the shipping carrier once an order has been accepted into the carrier's possession.

Legacy Costumes is not responsible for delays, loss, theft, damage, customs delays, or delivery issues that occur after the carrier has accepted the shipment. Customers should use the provided tracking number to monitor their package and contact the shipping carrier regarding transit-related issues.

Intellectual Property

All original photographs, product descriptions, logos, graphics, branding, website content, and original costume designs created by Legacy Costumes are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.

No content from this website may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission from Legacy Costumes.
